It was a regular ol' day in April. Anita decided to give online dating another shot. She had zero luck thus far in her dating life, but as a secret romantic, she always had dreams of finding a soulmate. After a refreshing solo trip to Thailand, she felt like she was in a good place to find love.

She downloaded Hinge and off she went to swipe. She saw a sweet smile, cute dimples and the kindest eyes, so she decided to swipe right.

Ardalan was driving home from the gym when his phone buzzed. At a red light, he quickly checked his phone and his jaw dropped. As he scrolled through Anita's profile, he was absolutely smitten. He loved her smile and her quirky answers to the profile prompts (buffalo wings with blue cheese, NOT ranch). He immediately sent her a message and sped home in hopes that she would reply back. Spoiler alert.. SHE DID!

It was a Thursday in April. They had plans to meet at Bowery Bungalow, in Silverlake. Their eyes locked when Anita got out of her Uber. Ardalan was already there (an hour early), waiting for her, and he was mesmerized. She wasn't a catfish and she was gorgeous!

They chatted for hours and didn't even realize that the restaurant had closed until their server politely asked them to GTFO. Before they said goodnight, Anita made sure to ask Ardalan about a second date, which he enthusiastically agreed to.

Ardalan wanted to go out that weekend but Anita had plans to attend an Indian Singles Event with her friend/bridesmaid Paluk. Ardalan kept his cool...until the night of the event, when he couldn't stop thinking about her. He sent her a thirst trap pic of a glass of wine and a lit candle, captioned "cheers."

Little did he know, Anita was having a miserable time at the Indian event (big shock). She couldn't stop thinking about the handsome gentleman from Thursday night. When she got the text, she was almost giddy. She immediately texted back, asking if he'd like to meet her for a drink.

Ardalan had never jumped up off his couch so fast. He dressed to the 9s and sped off to Downtown LA in record time (14 min Glendale --> DTLA...for those in LA, this is crazy)

They had another lovely evening together, drinking and chatting until the wee hours. The next morning, they met up and took a walk with Loki (Ardalan's nemesis, just kidding) and that is when everything changed. Throughout the walk, they were noticing their similarities and compatibilities. A spark was lit. Each person thought to themselves, this could be THE ONE.

And boy oh boy....were they both right!
